Pharmacy Technicians help manage the supply of medicines and devices in a Pharmacy and assist Pharmacists with advisory services – they are expected to work individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team and are able to work with minimum supervision with a high degree of autonomy, taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work that they have undertaken and that of others. • To undertake distance learning combined with “on-the-job” training, in order to complete a recognised Pharmacy qualification, in order to gain registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), if successful • To undertake periods of training in all areas of pharmaceutical services on a rotational basis • To participate in regional and departmental education and training.
